I finally started reading The Tudor Housewife, which is a great read which I highly recommend for anyone interested in Tudor women. While reading I became very interested in trying my hand at some period soaps and cosmetics. Then I was lucky enough to find an online transcription of Sir Hugh Plat's Delightes for Ladies, which includes recipes for candies, preserves, and various hygienic products.

EDIT: She also has recipes from The English Housewife by G. Markham. Cool!
