Marion, you don't need another project...

After I posted my last entry about my Tudor garb I started thinking about adding a Flemish over-gown. Flemish is very close to Tudor, the main difference being the over-gown. So I could use my purple kirtle, my partlet, sleeves, chemise, and straw hat. Then I'll I'd need to make is a new apron with those hangy-off edges and the over-gown. With this in mind today I used the last of my white linen and made a Flemish caul from the great directions here: http://www.elizabethancostume.net/lowerclass/makeflem.html (Which is an AMAZING website about Flemish garb, btw)

I think that might help to add a bit more variety to my camp garb without having to make an entire new outfit!
