This post has about a month's worth of random thoughts and plans all rolled into one, and for that I apologize. This is why I was never any good a writing.
I am feeling an odd mix of inspired/motivated and super tired tonight. I decided to attempt to make Mag for the Katamari Cousins group since I already have appropriate fabric (though I need to check that I have enough there's just barely 2yds; probably not enough T_T) and, let's face it, I love the game (I've been playing We <3 Katamari the past few days after finishing Chibi Robo)
So I really want to start on that. But first I need a head-tube, and to finish several other projects :( Gurrr.
For some very strange reason, I was struck with the desire to play Majora's Mask white out for dinner tonight. So that's also on my To Do list, and sadly, it's more likely to get done LOL. Or maybe I should hold off on that until I get other costumes out of the way since any Zelda game will probably just motivate me to work on a new Midna costume.
My productive period in February seems to have come to a halt. I got my gothic!Kim Pine costume completely done, but with nowhere to wear it (boo!), and the Ravenclaw costume has been hanging up just waiting for the house badge to be sewn on for a week. After that 15-minute job all I have to do is get/make myself a wand and it'll be one more project taken off my list! (Just for reference, there's still 3 costumes for other people, 3 costumes for me already in progress, and 3 costumes not yet started that I have materials for still on that list ... we won't mention the countless other "fashion" things I have planned >_<)

Unfortunately, tomorrow will not be a productive day (at least in terms of my own personal projects). drama_freak , mottaboy66 , and I hope to do a large chunk of filming on a game parody in the afternoon (weather permitting) and then the plan is to have dinner with one of the girls I used to work with at the store. However, I strongly hope to at least have the required pieces cut out for the hoodies I owe people by the end of this week.
Still nothing remotely decided about a new computer. I haven't had the energy or patience to think about it this past week, but now that I'm back to my regular tasks at the office instead of filling in for someone who was on vacation I might be able to deal with it. The up-side of waiting is that I'll have more money saved up by the time I make a purchase, but the past week (and next) was an "expensive" one and I didn't have any money leftover to stash away. Boo. And without a new computer, no new photos from my steadily growing backlog are being posted her or on cosplay.com because I can't resize them without installing my photo editor which I'm not sure compy can handle. More Boo.
Part of the reason I've spent more than I'd like though was because I finally went to an optometrist. I've needed a new prescription for a while now, and discovering a few sites online where I can get fancy coloured prescription contacts for cheap finally gave me the motivation to get it done (want to get in on a group order). I need a set of pink for a costume, but if anyone wants to help me decide between choices for other pretty colours, I can post my top picks for your input ^_^
Of course, I also need new glasses. I'm planning to buy from Clearly Contacts (SUBSTANTIALLY CHEAPER!!!), but once again, if anyone feels like offering their opinion, I'd like to see what looks good on me in a store ahead of time. So consider that a shout-out for a window-shopping buddy.
One last item - it has been brought to my attention that I can't continue to call my apartment "no-name apartment". But having lived here for 3 months nothing has come to me. There's nothing particularly special about the apartment or what I have done with the space. Which leaves outright creativity (of which I have none), or fandom sources. You would think that between all my favourite things which might be good sources (at random: Venture Bros, Power Puff Girls, Avatar, Sandman, Scott Pilgrim, the Uplift saga, Zelda, Harry Potter, Batman, Myst) I would be able to think of something appropriate. Help pls?
