Satoshi woke up to the sensation of something wet and warm on his cheek. He opened his eyes and was greeted by more licking from Piichan who was already practically standing on his face. He gave his frenchie a ruffle on the head and gently pushed him off the bed.

He turned his attention to the other warm sensation he was feeling: Nino's arm that was wrapped possesively around his waist. The younger man was still sound asleep, slightly snoring. He smiled to himself, admiring his lover's defenseless face, tugging at Nino's arm gently so he could leave the bed.

Nino felt his boyfriend moving and wrapped his arm tighter around the older man, adding a leg. "Where are you going?" He drawled, barely awake.

"I'm making breakfast, Kazu."

"But I'm not hungry."

Satoshi chuckled, kissing him on the cheek before pulling away. "I am. Piichan is, too."

Nino made a series of incoherent grumbling, yawned, scrunched up his nose and turned his back to Satoshi, going back to sleep.

The director smiled to himself again before walking out to the kitchen to make avocado and tuna sandwiches with the left overs from his fishing trip over the weekend. He poured Piichan his day's worth of dog food and squatted down to scratch the dog's back, thinking about what Nino had said about his friend last night. As promised, he wasn't going to do anything about it on paper, but he did want to talk to Sho about it.

He had told Nino that it was better that he tell Jun before anyone else could, saying that it would be worse if Jun found out about it from someone else and that it was unfair of him to be keeping such an awful secret from a dear friend. Ninomiya just chewed on his lip, eyebrows knitted in deep thought. They talked more about this while taking a long dip in the pool, sipping on beer bottles and idly nibbling on dried squid. Satoshi told Nino again that he needed to make a move ASAP, and the younger man opened his mouth several times, in an obvious attempt to say something, but ended up just nodding and chugging down the contents of his beer bottle in one go.

The director sighed remembering how his usually talkative boyfriend had kept silent for a long time, evidently juggling his thoughts in his mind.

While adding in the the apples and walnuts to the avocado tuna concoction in a large bowl, the director recalled the unsolicited things Yuriko had told him during her exit interview a few years back. She had said how Sho always had started to make her feel like she wasn't good enough for him.

Satoshi stared at the sizzling eggs on the pan and recalled how he secretly observed Yuriko and Sho's relationship ever since she had submitted her resignation not even a month after his friend had been promoted. Yuriko had been assigned to a different cluster to avoid any conflict and Satoshi didn't really notice anything different about how they interacted--especially since they didn't interact as much as they did when they were both supervisors. What he had noticed too was that Yuriko had spent less time with her friends and had dressed differently. Just the little things: like wearing jeans more instead of her usual pencil skirts, tying her hair up in a bun instead of her just wearing it loose... and the most noticeable of all: she had stopped wearing the cherry red lipstick she was known for.

That day of the final interview, she was back to her usual self, the red lipstick glossy on her lips, her nails painted a deep purple, her hair styled in big loose curls. "For some reason he started becoming someone I couldn't bare to be with."

He was pulled away from his thoughts when something warm snaked around his waist from the back. It was Nino's arms.

"Hey."

"Hey." The younger man kissed him on the cheek. "That smells good."

Satoshi chuckled.

"I'm meeting with Jun later this afternoon." Nino snuggled against the crook of the director's neck, planting a small kiss on his collar before speaking again. "Do you need to go anywhere? I can drop you off."

The older man shook his head, turning to face his boyfriend. "I'm staying home. I have few pieces to finish because I got distracted yesterday."

Nino grinned. "I'll stay over to distract you again if you want me to."

The director leaned in, laughter escaping his lips before it touched Nino's. "Please, no. I have deadlines, you idiot."

*
Nino sat on their bed listening to the droplets of water hit the shower floor. Satoshi had kicked him out before he could convince him to have a not-so-quick quickie after he had given the other a world-class blow job and he had consecutively came on his hand.

He already had his clothes on and was in deep thought, wondering if he should do this or not. No, not the telling Jun about Sho's bullshit part, he was sure about doing that. He was thinking about something else entirely.

He was, to put it bluntly, out of money. On top of the bills he needed to pay, his and his sister's house rent, the electricity and water bill, and the other bills that their parents left them when they passed away, she had just messaged him that she needed cash because she had lost her wallet-along with her entire month's pay. Nino and his sister's monthly income were barely sufficient for their necessities alone... and now this.

He slumped back on the bed and sighed. He couldn't tell Satoshi about this, he wouldn't. What would his boyfriend say? He didn't want to make him think that he was just dating him for the money, even if they'd been going out for some time now. I can't drag him into this mess. He doesn't deserve it. Nino clicked his tongue. I just borrowed it, anyway. I'll return it when I get paid this week. Four days isn't that long, right?

The younger man was still lying on the bed when Satoshi walked out of the bathroom with a towel losely wrapped around his waist, noticing his lover's perplexed face. "Something bothering you, Kazu?"

Nino sat up and shook his head, giving the older man the most reassuring smile he could make. "I'm just a bit nervous. I dunno how I could tell J about all this shit... but I'll manage." He walked over to the director and kissed him on the cheek. "I'll go ahead before I change my mind and stay over for this." Nino gave Satoshi's flacid bulge a squeeze before grabbing the keys from the desk beside the door and prancing out.

Satoshi threw his head back in laughter.

"If he says sarcastic and really mean shit, please ignore it as best as you can." Jun said, lacing his fingers on Sho's hand that wasn't on the steering wheel.

The older man chuckled. "Of course." Of course. I need to at least convince Ninomiya, even the slightest bit, to not tell you what he saw in the men's bathroom. He took Jun's hand in his and rubbed the back of it with his thumb. "I need to apologize to him for what I did to you."

"Please, babe. Don't bring that up anymore. That's done and I forgive you, okay?"

Sho glanced and smiled timidly at his boyfriend before pulling his hand away to steer properly to park the car. "Thank you."

Ever since I had that conversation with Satoshi, I've got a new ace to play. Wrong move, Ninomiya. You shouldn't have let your guard down. Sho got off from the car and waited for Jun to get off before walking to the cafe entrance. His boyfriend was saying something about coffee but he was too lost in his own scheming to really pay attention. I'm the one to talk. I completely didn't expect he could open that restroom door though. I thought that stupid door was jammed. They might've changed the lock. Fucking facilities bastards.

The couple entered the cafe and found Nino in their usual spot on the low couches by the window. He was playing on his phone (as usual) and only looked up when he noticed that there were two pairs of footsteps walking towards him.

"Yo, Neens." Jun plopped himself down on his usual couch and Sho did the same beside him.

"Why. The fuck. Is he here?" Nino took a long drag from his cigarette before crushing the butt on the ash tray on the table between him and Jun and Sho, eyes almost making holes on the latter's face. The older manager had an arm around his best friend's shoulders and was staring right back at him with a small innocent smile on his face. Nino wished so hard he was crushing the cigarette butt on this ass hole's face instead.

Jun shrugged, slightly leaning on his boyfriend. "Sho said you two never got to get to know each other very much and so I thought this would be a great bonding session, don't you think?" He turned to Sho who nodded enthusiastically.

"You're not asking me what I think?" Nino point at his own face before lighting another cigarette.

"Nino, please. That was a question for both of you. And why the hell are you so riled up?"

"I'm so riled up because after you run to me crying when he left you in the middle of the road to turn into a french fry, you still have the audacity to bring him to our coffee date?"

Jun sighed as if he was trying to calm himself after a child had said something horribly stupid. "Nino, Sho and I already talked about things, okay?"

Nino scratched his brow with his index fringer from the same hand he was holding his cigarette in.

"I hope we can start over, Ninomiya-san. I just want to get to know Jun's friends. Don't you want to get to know your lover's friends?" Sho leaned in and gave Nino the most geniune smile he'd seen in years.

This guy is good looking as fuck, I'm pretty sure he's the devil himself. Nino thought to himself and gave Sho his doubtful squinty eyes all the while puffing on his cigarrette. "I don't like making friends."

"Whatever, Kazunari." Jun stood up and reached out to Sho who gave him his wallet. "You two get along, okay? I'll get us some drinks."

The atmosphere turned icy cold as soon as Jun turned his back and took a step away from their table. Sho still had that same smile on his face some seconds ago but now his eyes were filled with malice. "I know what you're trying to do, Ninomiya, and I wouldn't do it if I were you."

Nino scowled. "Are you threatening me?"

"I sure am."

"Tsk. With what? Your" Nino did the quotation finger sign "managerial powers?"

Sho laughed a geniune laugh, as if Nino had just told him a really good joke they both enjoyed, his eyebrows forming that upside down letter v and his eyes disappearing into little slits. "Of course not."

Nino didn't say anything, not wanting to ride Sho's pretentious bullshit.

"Last year, we celebrated Satoshi's 10th year anniversary of being with the company and they gave him such a gorgeous watch. There wasn't a day he didn't wear it, and he took such great care of it, too." Sho crossed his legs. "We had lunch together some days ago and I noticed he wasn't wearing it, and said that he might've misplaced it somewhere. Ninomiya-kun, you go to his place very often. Do you have an idea where he could've left it?"

The smoke Nino just inhaled suddenly felt like needles in his throat. "What the fuck are you talking about?"

Sho cocked his head slightly to the side. "This." He showed Nino a photo on his phone of him on his desk in the facilities office, looking at something silver on his hand. "Let me zoom it for you, in case it's not clear. Good thing my phone's got a great camera. I just bought it last year."

He pinched the screen outwards and zooming into the photo, it was clear what Nino was holding. It was Satoshi's watch.

Nino stared at the manager in pure horror. How could he have gotten this picture? When?

"You can't take Jun away from me, Ninomiya. If you even attempt to, I swear to god, you'd regret ever meeting me." He put his phone back in his pocket and and chuckled innocently. "Try me."

Nino was silently screaming in his head. He was still gaping at Sho, his cigarette slowly turning into a stick of cylindrical formed ash. How could someone so despicable like this even exist? How could Jun even kiss this piece of shit's foul mouth? Or suck his cock for that matter? God damn, I want to break his face with this ash tray. Or break the ash tray with his face, whichever is worse. He tried to stop his hands from shaking in anger, but he couldn't. He put the cigarette out and lit up another one.

"Hey, you guys okay? You look kinda tense." Jun arrived with a tray of their coffee and cakes and placed them carefully on the table. "I got you caramel macchiato as always, Nino." He handed his best friend his Venti cup and gave Sho his. "Americano for you, love. I also got you short cake."

Nino took a long ass sip from his iced coffee and looked straight at Sho. "You should have gotten Sho a piece of Masaki's dick because that's apparently his favorite thing to put in his mouth lately."

Sho had poured the entire jar of sugar into his coffee, eyes wide at Nino.

"I'm sorry, what?" Jun's voice couldn't even penetrate the aura of murder between the other two.
