It's Gettin Hot in Herre
There was a fire in the Uni library today. I was in there along with my work group and the alarms came on. Naturally everyone thought it was a drill or a test of some sort but a hysterical fellow came in and started yelling "this is real!" We all had to do the standard fire exit procedures and there were wardens with big shiny plastic hats everywhere. I think it turned out to be a piece of toast or something. Rather lackluster if I may say so myself. We were all standing outside the library thinking "why is it not crumbling in a blaze of glory?". Now that would be something.
I realised something today: I really dislike Swinburne like whoa. The thought of that whole place just pisses me off. Or is it my course that's the problem? Either way I won't be there much longer than 6 months.
The Commonwealth Games closing ceremony was last night ::sadfase::. It was kind of sad to see it finish because it really lit up Melbourne and made it so much more alive. Going via the city today on my way to Uni I couldn't really help but notice how deserted it was compared to only a few days back. At least the weekends will still light up this great city, oh and the Grand Prix is coming anyways.
In other news, I'm applying for a credit card. I've put it off for a bit too long I think. I've told myself I'm only going to use it in emergencies or when there are no other options. I think I trust myself enough now not to use it irresponsibly *pause*.... Shopping spree!
