Grades

Wow... long time no post eh?

I'm not sure how long ago it was now but Monday, August the 2nd was a day where I got a major wake up call. My mid-year exam results came in. I was shocked by my results. Now don't get me wrong, they weren't horrible. They were average. Pretty damn average actually. But they weren't good, thats the thing! I needed good results to get into my high aspiration courses. Evil English teacher/Year 12 Coordinator mentioned before didn't soften the blow. There was this girl in front of me... lets call her Britney. Anyway she got an ace mark for the one exam she did compared to the three I had to do. Also, throughout the whole year, this English teacher kept on putting her on a pedastal. I mean ffs, thats favouritism! Anyway this is what the teacher said as both of us got our results:

"You deserve everything you get, Britney... So, unfortunately do you, Hamza. Did you put in 110%? No? Well here you go."

That girl doesn't need a pedastal, she needs shampoo for her ugly, disgusting, greasy, slimy, unkempt hair. And she wears this disgusting grey jacket which seems to be slipping off her shoulder all the time *vomit*. She looks like trailer trash, hence the pseudonym - Britney.

So yeah, anyway those results made me re-evaluate my studying habits and methods and since then i've been getting pretty good marks which is good. End of years are in less than 2 months and I am going to be studying my ass off. One thing I was shocked to realise when I looked back on my studying techniques for mid years was... I didn't have any! I didn't even study. How stupid could I be? I didn't realise this while it was happening! I mean sure, I did past exam papers for practice but hey i didn't know half the theory. I can't believe it now, looking back on it. How do you go into an exam without knowing all the theory?

Well, that will change this time around. I will summarise, re-summarise, and re-re-summarise. Then repeat. Especially Maths. I think I could get a really good study score for Maths Methods so I will focus a lot on that. And Biology. Chemistry and English too actually. But Physics is going to be my major stuff up. Our physics teacher told us that students usually improve by about 1 grade in their end of years. That won't happen, I can tell you that now. I have no clue what he's on about for all this theory of light stuff. He goes off on weird tangents when he's explaining them and I think that the rest of the class is also dumbfounded.

Anyway this entry's been long enough so I will leave you with that.
