I started keeping (rough) track of what books I was reading in December 2009, and based on that count (and acknowledging that there's almost certainly books I've forgotten to record) I've read 54 books this year. Clearly, the way to do 52 books in 52 weeks thing was to stop trying :P

Because I was saddened to find out about this community about 12 hours after sign ups closed last year, I hearby spread the word: mini_nanowrimo is taking sign ups until 31 October. Like Nanowrimo but surmountable!

One of those notes-to-self-in-public things:

- The apocalyptothon fic draft is due by the 15th. *cue deliberate, calm breathing* I can totally do this. Just write, and the rest will come. It always does.

- The book review for mynxii. This will be good in a challenging way...

Firstly, Apocalypse fic! Wheee! Just the idea of this pleases me mightily. Go for broke, say I. If you lean towards fluffy Gen fic, go for it, if you can manage the fluff! If you lean towards nihilist threesome smutfests, go for that. Whatever you write I’ll delight in it simply because it’s apocalypse fic, and for me.
