[Kiritsugu feels similarly. He knows Rin knew Shirou, at least. Though he doesn't trust her, that's one thing they have in common.]

It knows how to draw it.

[Kiritsugu lets his surprise at those words be completely concealed by his stoic nature for a few seconds. After losing all of his family, he very much believed himself to be on his own. Still, these people are in the same situation. He can't be the only father wanting to get out of here, nor the only person with a relatively happy (if not particularly long) life waiting for him back home.]

[Maybe it does fall under his responsibility to help... no, save them.]
