School
1st Day of School!! Well actually second, but im gonna write it like its the first day since not that much has changed. And for the record, I didn't get lost ONCE!!!!! Score! Classes:
--Statistics--
Very intimidating (but im used 2 that 4 math) since almost everyone is a senior (again im used 2 this, but still!) And yes, I'm stuck with Sam Hurley AGAIN! (lets see, this'll be my...what...6th year being in his math class?--yeah thats right) Luckily this stuff seems pretty easy--a lot of psychology mixed in with the math, so I'm not 2 worried--Mr. Moe says its loads easier than trig.
--Comm Arts--
Well luckily this is all frosh's, including Mari, Angie, Kali, and Roshni (yes people I know!!!)
The teacher, is a total weirdo. She's this old lady who talks....reeeaaalllyyy.....s..l...oooo...w. Angie and I were both reminded of "W", even though of course she's not a football coach and doesn't have, as Chris put it "half-shaven sideburns" Doesn't look that hard, but it is honors CA (or something like that) so who knows.
--Health--
Well this TOTALLY reminds me of FACE (minus the fun part--cooking), so I'm NOT real excited. Its v. easy though, grading's easy, tons of EC, suck-up teacher. The class were i can do other hw and i won't miss anything.
--Lunch--
Well lunch so far has been quite awful. Everybody who i usually eat with/hang out with WAS in 5th in hour lunch, so the first day i just sat alone @ a table and did my stats hw. Today I went 2 the library and finished my health...but now i found out that ANGIE GOT SWITCHED INTO MY LUNCH!!!! YES!!!! Well she's not 2 happy about this, i spose i wouldn't be either if i were her, but still i'm happy.
--Orchestra--
Conducter is Gary Wolfman (from youth) he's kinda cool i guess. He's a rabbi--kinda neat(is that how thats spelled?) Zoe gets 2 be in symphonic orchestra cuz of schedule mess-ups. She's not so happy, but i'm totally jealous. Today he had us play a D scale, and it sounded like total crap. And ik the music will be most likely v. boring. There are 6 cellists and 9 violinists...that outta be interesting. O well, cello can never be that bad...and he did give me 1st chair!
--Biophys--
A blend of frosh physics and sopho bio all in one year. Teacher seems a bit like shavy...but not as stupid. Everyone says he's really tough though, but there is the highlight of him blowing up that sink last year. Also Erin, Rosh, Mari and Angie are in here.
--AP World History--
This looks like a v. interesting class. The teacher is pretty nice, and history will be interesting. Lots of sophomores here. Zoe, Angie, Erin (Pelky, not Brian) and this girl i met from voice lessons are in it, plus a few people from cc. This will also be v. hard, because its AP. We already have a lot of reading and some notes, and got a quiz on the syllabus.
--French III--
LAST CLASS!!! AHA AHA!!!!! Lots of sophomores, plus Angie Erin Mari Kali and Rosh. Looks pretty cool, and well its French, i can't imagine it'll be that hard, French never is... (well 4 me--ok im bragging now i'll stop) Teacher is pretty nice and easy going.
--Cross Country--
NOT A CLASS. Feet have hurt A LOT since meet on Tuesday, so instead of runnning with the group I went up to the weight room and ran on these things that don't make my feet hurt. Weight room is v. nice--air conditioning, music, and muted TV (ok so its kinda pointless since its MTV, but still). The only weird thing is that there are a bunch of weird guys trying to get buff in there, and its weird and intimidating, since im just there for running. Also cuz of labor day, practice will be early tomorrow. "O how early??" "Not that early...only SIX O CLOCK IN THE MORNING!!!!!!!!!!" I can't even function that early!!! How will i be able 2 run????
Voice lesson and string quartet audition went well. Judge 4 quartet said I was guarenteed a spot!!! HOORAY!! This means... I WONT HAVE 2 GO 2 THE LAWRENCE SPRING STRING FIASCO EVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!! (4 those of you who haven't ever been 2 that--take my advice--don't go)Thats pretty much it... I'm extremely sore right now. I've only had 2 days of school and I already can't wait for it 2 be over.
