sitting in a cafe in San Francisco. Today is my day for being by myself and processing our adventures and making my list of top places to move to. Tomorrow, Stu and I sit with our independent lists and bang out a place for a collective number one. Exciting, yet nerve wracking decisions. Currently on the list in now particular order:
Nevada City, CA
Bloomington, IN
Portland, OR
Detroit, MI
San Francisco/Oakland, CA
The last one wasn't even in consideration in recent months, but being back here makes me remember how much I love it here in the Bay. Tomorrow we head to Santa Cruz to visit friends.
I had my lips tattooed today, which hurt like hell. I barely thought I would make it though the process. I had my eyebrows done previously which I recommend as worth it for anyone who is interested. I don't recommend doing your lips, unless you really enjoy pricking, stabbing pain on one of the most sensitive, vascular parts of your body. We have more areas of our brain devoted to lip sensation than arms or legs, minus the soles of hands and feet.
