Chilling. Quite literally.
So I'm currently in Calgary. It snowed my second day out here...everyone I'd seen had said it hadn't snowed much yet this year...I blame murph. The flight out was ok...landing was turbulant..I thought I was going to die. John picked me up, we went for breakfast then went to see The Prestige. Was a really really good movie..on the long side..but quite good. Saturday night we went for dinner at the Keg..last time i'd been there was my brithday I think so it was nice. After we met up with a few people at a place called Vicious Circle I believe..it's a martini pub...with really good food and an unbelievable amount of martinis....they had a menu dedicated to them there's so many. Sunday we just chilled. I don't even think we left the house short of going to the tim hortons literally across the street. It snowed on sunday so the roads were horrid..we were going to go for lunch with one of John's friends but the friend cancelled because it was pretty much a giant game of bumper cars. We were supposed to go to a dj/trance type thingy at a bar sunday night...I bailed..not my thing so to speak...John stayed home and we just watched tv and what not. Went shopping yesterday with Andrea and her boy...was nice seeing her again..been a while. We were going to go bowling..but oddly enough you'd be amazed at how many people go bowling on a monday night. Tonight we're going out...going to go for dinner at a place called Melrose...it shall be good..it's always good...then we might either go to a bar or come back here and just chill...I don't care so long as I get to wear my costume.
I'm amazed how fast the time has gone by...and nothing has felt awkward as of yet. I expected seeing everyone after so long that it would be somewhat awkward and sorta surreal..but it feels like nothing has changed...like I've just picked up where I left off with almost everyone I've seen out here...granted that's not very many people...but I never really hung out with alot of people out here. There was a core group and that was about it. Most of the rest of my time here is already planned out as well..which means the second half is going to go by quite quick as well. Least it'll be fun.
