Five thoughts after watching "JTV" and "Swamped"

Okay, so, apparently the Amazon VOD episode order has nothing at all to do with the DVD episode order, and I've confused things by returning to my DVDs.  Joy.  I'm gonna go with the DVD order from here on out - skipping the two I already watched - assuming I don't run into any more technical problems with the discs.  And I'll stop referring to the episodes by the numbers, since those don't actually seem to mean anything...

Anyway, I kind of rather wish I hadn't gotten the order all jumbled, because it means I saw two Michael Jelenic Joker episodes in a row, instead of getting to spread out the fun through what I'm sure will be some less thrilling episodes later.  Now, my five thoughts:

1) Wow.  Way to make New Patrick Warburton Character instantly repugnant.  I'm kind of in love with Yin through most of "JTV," though.

2) "...and by 'Fair,' I mean, 'Totally stacked in my favour'."  LOL this line amused me a lot.

3) Overall, "JTV" is a pretty decent episode, although there were a couple of moments in the third act that took me to a slightly unfamiliar critical place where I found myself instantly recognizing a panicked "The audience may be losing track of the goal here, and there hasn't been a line in a while, so I should have a character say something - ANYTHING - to patch this mess over," moment for exactly what it was.  It's not that I've not been capable of seeing these moments before, I just *instantly* thought, "I see what you did there, Jelenic," rather than my usual, "Huh.  That wasn't a very good line," response.

4) The opening shot of "Swamped" is kind of gorgeous.  And Jim Cummings!  Things that make me happy!

5) There was surprisingly little dialogue in "Swamped," which made for a nicely stylish story.  I can't help but feel that more Batman adaptations should follow that example.
