2) FN - AK and DM: Finding Neverland by Allan Knee and David Magee

Excuse me, I have to go toss myself off my balcony for failing to recognize this, one of my all-time favorite movies. (And also maybe for not recognizing the Seinfeld one, as "But-I-don't WANNA be a pirate!" is one of those lines that I'll just pop out with, randomly, without any context, for no reason at all other than because it deeply amuses me.)

... okay, I'm back. ^__________^

Chapter Choice: Oh MAN, I'm torn between two. Okay ...

Alright, choosing the absolute LAST chapter seems cheating, somehow, plus I'm pretty sure THIS chapter more intrigues me anyway: "The Trial and Execution of Guybrush Threepwood." Yeah. I have a thing for trial-scenes, anyway,* and this promises to be delightful on a NUMBER of levels. Plus -- given what the next chapter is (according to Wikipedia) ... I guess they actually do in fact KILL him, so, I mean: that should be int'resting. XD

... YAY! Thank you! :) I really don't play computer games very often, and yet I find myself wildly excited about this. Perhaps playing this level will FINALLY inspire me to break out the MI game you sent me and resume playing once more. (I stopped playing it when I got stuck on one level, just absolutely STUCK with no flippin' idea of how to proceed, but I'd been having a lot of fun up till then. And as it only recently occurred to me that I could, y'know, ASK YOU FOR HELP in figuring out how to beat said level, there really is no reason for me not to give it another go. Assuming I can find it in my Moving Mess, I mean. XD)

I'll be back for pin choices after Chaotica has made her pick. :) In the meantime: what's up with #7?

#7 is a photo that started showing up online after the release of DMC but before the release of AWE, when everybody knew that Singapore was going to be an actual location in the film this time, instead of just a joking reference. HOWEVER, I think _because_ of Jack's joking reference in TCotBP, people assumed his character at some point would actually _show up_ in Singapore in AWE (which of course he does not). So I daresay somebody felt fairly safe Photoshopping this picture of Jack Sparrow in Oriental costume and passing it off with a, "Hey, look at this super-secret unreleased pic from the third 'Pirates' movies that somebody managed to sneak out!" And then it just started to get spread round the internet, although this is the first time I've ever seen anybody actually acknowledge it in a semi-official setting.

Of course, then AWE came out and Jack not only failed to ever show up in this outfit, but failed to ever make it to Singapore during the film. That hasn't stopped this picture from cropping up now and then, though -- though it rather surprises me that somebody bothered to put it on a button, since it IS, as far as I know, a 100% fake. Go figure.

(Still, though: Can anyone ever call ANY picture of Jack Sparrow a BAD picture?? Probably not.)

... and now I'm late for work. Crap. Well, no regrets: Starting a Tuesday off talking about piratey things is a damn fine way to start a Tuesday. ;-D

* In some ways, in the end, it really was like they made OST just for me. ;-D

I have to admit, once Peter Pan and Hook were on the board, I kinda wondered what was UP...but then, I also don't understand how y'all got some of the ones you did, so I am overall much more impressed than puzzled ^_^

Blackbeard's ghost, is "The Trial of Execution" good! Be prepared to HAVE to play "Rise of the Pirate God" after you've finished, since, well, it's kind of like watching DMC and going, "...Nah. I don't need to see AWE." There are certainly people who do that, but they aren't invested in the characters or story. I am hesitant to give my blessing to your starting here, since the story (not the gameplay) does depend so much on knowing and caring about the characters...but you appear to have done some research already, and I can fill you in if you need any more background. And it's not like a couple of the twists are going to be as shocking for you, anyway, seeing as you haven't played the previous games (much).

"Rise of the Pirate God" is also _quite_ good, story-wise (although I'm _still_ not certain one of the bits at the end makes complete sense...), but "Trial and Execution" may very well be my favourite chapter of any game _ever_.

You can always ask if you need help - I've played all five games at least twice (probably more like five times for CoMI). There is also a fantastic hint site - UHS - that, instead of just telling you what to do, gives you progressively more specific advice as you click through and request more help. I probably wouldn't have gotten past the prologue of CoMI if I hadn't had Bratnatch and Magpie coaching me, so I encourage "cheating"...even if Barbossa would sneer at me ;^P

ToMI is SO MUCH EASIER, though (overall, the games get progressively more player-friendly, puzzle-wise, if I recall correctly; SoMI is almost impossible even with a walkthrough), but I took a couple of trips to UHS even for it. Granted, a couple of times, I was just checking because I couldn't quite believe the solution was as obvious as it appeared to be...

ANYway, yeah, let me know if you've settled, and I'll get you set up with Telltale!

PS: That godawful Mr. Popper's Penguins commercial just came on. I laughed at it this time, and I trust you understand why.
