Alright, my darlings, it's time for the results and prize selection for
the Pirate contest thingummy!
First, the eight titles that were never identified:
2) FN - AK and DM: Finding Neverland by Allan Knee and David Magee
22) S:TPS - LD: Seinfeld: "The Puffy Shirt" by Larry David
64) CD:TMP - PRR and CR: Count Duckula: "The Mutinous Penguins" by Peter Richard Reeves and Chris Randall
65) B:P - RC and BE: Blackadder: "Potato" by Richard Curtis and Ben Elton
66) R:PL - RG: Rugrats: "Pirate Light" by Richard Gitelson
68) TB - RR: The Brightonomicon by Robert Rankin
69) C:CB - SB: CatDog: "CatDog's Booty" by Steven Banks
74) BBB(TaPS) - TW: "Bing Bang Bong (That's a Pirate Song)" by The Wiggles
(For the record, on my original brainstorming list, I only wrote down the title abbreviations. When it came time to post the contest, I co figure out what "TP" was supposed to be. A few nights ago, through a very convoluted trek across IMDb that was inspired by Abed and Troy singing "Somewhere Out There," I remembered that it was The Pagemaster. So, yeah, that should have been on the list.
Next, results!
In first place, having correctly identified 39 titles, is
magpieinthesky ! I will put her copy of Tales of Monkey Island in the post as soon as she has made her choice of pin.
In second place, with 15 titles, is
bizarreoptimism ! She gets to select which chapter of Tales of Monkey Island she would like to download (I suggest starting at the beginning, for story's sake, but it is set up so you can play the chapters independently, so if there's a particular part you are most interested in, you can absolutely choose it) and a pin.
In third place, with 12 titles, is
captainchaotica ! She gets first choice of two pins.
In fourth place, with 1 title, is Kat! She gets a pin.
Pin selections!
Here's how this is going to go down: Chaotica gets to pick two, then BizOp can pick one, and then Magpie. Kat will pick hers next time I see her, because she's lovely like that.
There are two more ToMI pins that have spoilers for the prologue, which can be seen
here.
The ToMI pins are just under an inch in diameter, and the Cap'n Jack pins are slightly less than an inch and a quarter in diameter.
...Anyone who can tell me what the heck is up with #7 gets to pick an extra pin.
