Still poking that sore ~OR~ I simply cannot shut up

Also this.

Also also, before when I said the actors who played Pavi and Luigi in Repo! were less convincing, I didn't at all mean that I wasn't convinced I truly abhorred the characters.  The one line from "Mark It Up," in particular*, makes my soul vomit a little every time I think about it because it is, to an extent, played for laughs, and you ( Read more... )

Um...

wut?

(is confused)

In other news...(a) what's a zydrate, and (b) I did read the below post, the links in it and the side-links (most of them, anyway)...the only reason I didn't say anything is because I was having MAJOR Internet issues at the moment. (Still kinda am, but at least it hasn't disconnected on me for no apparent reason every 30 seconds today. _Yet_. Knock on reasonable wood-substitute.)

And while I do agree with what's being said in those discussions, I also gotta ask, um...

Any particular reason why you looked all that stuff up, right now? I mean...the subject _does_ kinda seem out of nowhere, unless...

Nobody has been harrassing you in real life...have they? (worried)
'Cos, like, if they have, I'm'a have to get my sword and go choke a bitch. (Don't ask me how you choke someone with a sword. I'll FIND a way.)

Yeah, the majority of that was spillage from the Repo! The Genetic Opera review that I had every intention of withholding until the end of the month, but it all decided to come out after finishing up reading the comments on "Schroedinger's Rapist."

Zydrate is a drug from said movie, and "Zydrate Anatomy" is an insidiously catchy song I have had stuck in my head since roughly three seconds after I first heard it.

And the reason I wound up reading up on all of that is that Maggie linked to the "Shroedinger's Rapist" article a couple of days ago and I was for some reason compelled to read all of the things linked in the comments. Perhaps I was subconsciously gearing up to work in an engineering office on a military base. I appreciate the helpful (if slightly impractical ;^P) support, though.
