On friday last week I headed on over to Ye Ol' Victoria for the weekend. It was Laura's staff Christmas party and she invited me to come along. I brought a book to entertain me on the four hour trip but finished it on the ferry so I was very bored for the bus ride into Vic. Once I got into town I went to GoE to check if Becky or Emma was working but neither of them were. Then I checked the Rialto for Lucas since it's like 20 seconds away. I didn't see him either so I decided to just head to my parents' place.
At my parents place I just hung out for a bit and talked with my mom and dad and played with my nephews for a bit before they all left to go downtown. Laura came over a bit later and we got ready to go out.
The staff party was cool because there was free food and drinks. Free food is always awesome and free drinks are pretty damn sweet too. I totally didn't take enough advantage of that shit. It sucked because I was pretty full after two chicken skewers and some quiche. I wanted to eat more free food though! I was disappointed in myself. Then I wasn't in a mood for getting trashed either so I didn't monopolize on those free drinks either. I just showed Laura the pictures of last years party where she was pretty tipsy about a week ago so she decided not to get drunk either. Haha, to make up for it or something I guess. Ha.
After the party everyone went downtown and we went to Element. We got in right away which was cool. I don't mind clubs as much when I'm not forced to stand in line for an hour. Laura's boss' boobs were everywhere because she was wearing an insanely low-cut shirt which was pretty funny. She just had a baby and she has a gold tooth. It's craziness.
We cabbed back to my parents' place and slept there then chilled out for most of the next day.
Later on saturday I got picked up by Brian and Lucas and went down to Peacocks. We played a few games and Adrian eventually got there too. We went to Smith's Pub for some drinks then decided to go somewhere else where we could drink more after. We decided on Lucas' place since it was pretty much the only option but by the time we got there all the Liquor stores were closed! She we just drank a bit. Lucas gave me a vodka and cream soda but I think my body assumes pop rocks are coming a la The Conversationalist and makes me feel sick, ha. Adrian and I walked home after and chatted.
On Sunday I played with my nephews more then drove to Laura's place to help her paint her room. We just moved some stuff out and painted a bit of the floor, not too much with it. Later we went and got some dinner at the Little Thai Place and ate it at Taylor Beach, aw, romantic.
There is more to say but I have to go for now!
You know how on telephone poles they have "lost cat" posters? Well I saw a "found cat" poster the other day. Really? Found cat? How do you know that cat is missing in the first place? ... If you're out walking and you see a cat that you think is lost and you take it, it's not a lost cat. It's a stolen cat.
