The Grammar Nazis are Recruiting

Today I had to go to a training session that the Student Employment Office was putting on. My boss requires that we attend one class every semester, so that we are continuing our customer service education... Or something. So I went and sat through an hour of this guy telling me how to improve my customer service skills. In the hour all I learned was that I shouldn't say "yo," or "Wassup?" in a work environment, and that somehow I have been recruited by the grammar Nazis.

I am the first to admit that my grammar, both written and spoken, is far from perfect but when professional people make major errors in every sentence I start to get upset. The trainer repeatedly said things like "most poorest" and "I don't have no..." As if that wasn't bad enough he apparently got sick of the little squiggly lines that kept popping up on his power point, because he obviously didn't spell check or grammar check. It was truly frightening.

The only perk to this session was that I got to use one of the University business parking passes... And I get to keep it until Monday! UVB parking passes are amazing, even better than a handicapped plaque. They allow you to park virtually anywhere, and even get you into the parking garages for free. I'm in love!

Other than that, I had another interview today and (as usual) had no idea how it went. Tomorrow I have two exams, and on Friday I am flying to Dallas for my second round of interviews with Epsilon.
