AH, ok... so more on what is gonna go down here. I wanted a separate journal for my more political musings, to free up my regular journal for self-obsessed whining. Here are some reasons I wanted a community on these topics:
+ people believe what the news tells them
+ sometimes people don't even know what's going on in the news
+ community & dialogue are great ways to inform each other and spread awareness of issues that affect all of us, maybe not directly, but certainly in the bigger picture
+ our world is at a critical point which will affect all of our futures, and awareness is necessary to make informed decisions that will help shape this future
+ I really like my PACS 10 class
+ aforementioned freeing of personal journal for less pertinent, non-world issues
