This is getting kind of old
lanternicity has converted me to the Green Lantern Fangirl Corps. LIKE I NEEDED MORE FANDOMS. THANK YOU (NOT).
At any rate, because I was gleefully avoiding actually, you know, doing my Lit homework, I was going through IMDB looking for any new Star Trek trailers and discovered that they're apparently considering Chris Pine for Hal Jordan in the new Green Lantern movie. Of course, in classic Hollywood fashion it's all Wah It's Just A Rumor . . . but I have a feeling if Star Trek does really, really well and the Green Lantern script is really, really good, they'll want Pine enough to reach for him and he might accept.
Okay, yeah, his hair is really weird. But I don't think I'd hate him as Hal. I know lanternicity really wants Jensen Ackles, and maybe in a perfect world that might work (although I can't really see Jensen in tights . . . it's just, you know, not working for me. Plus, if he took the part we might get another Tony Stark-type on our hands, which could end up making people feel like the Snarky Womanizer corner of Superhero-dom is getting overplayed), but I could handle Pine as Hal.
So, in summary: once again fate rests in the hands of Captain Kirk.
