*gasphorrorgasp*
Yes folks, it's true... I actually do live a breathe... And I'm not just a figment of your imagination.
The rumors that you've heard are actually true (for the most part) a good reason I've been non-existant in the world of lj, is because I've been consumed with an mmo that has the ability to stunlock you into submission then mindcontrol you to play for hours on end.
But that's not the only thing going on, really... it's a good deal of it, but not the only thing.
My life this past month or so has been ridiculously mundane. There's nothing going on and I was just waiting and waiting for the gov't to sort out paperwork for me. So, to pass the time, (and putting full blame on the_raif and jaideran_frost ....oh heck, and the4thhokage as well), I got a little hooked on the game.
I do however have a lvl61 undead warlock that I absolutely adore, and I'm getting my dreadsteed today and I'm so very excited. :P
I freakin' roxxors man.... LEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!
I haven't had anything to report, so I just haven't is all...
But that's really about to change. :)
I actually have news!
This past thursday, I had my *final* interview in my process for obtaining my damned visa/greencard.
We had quite the hiccup over Christmas-y time.. with the gov't losing half my paperwork that I submitted putting a hold on my work early permit (way to go! *highfives*) What a waste of $250.. *grumbles*
In the mean time I got the letter confirming my last interview. Colin and I set out, bringing the HUGEST package of paper work (they wanted all correspondence throughout the whole application, birth certificate, marriage certificate, proof of co-habitation, copies of anything submitted... jesus god - not that we ended up showing ANY of it when there... heh), and I stressed a bit before going in... I always get so nervous just before... - only to find out that it was close to as informal an interview can be besides being in a gov't building and the woman introducing herself as 'Officer Chan'.. She asked us questions about married life, how we met, how long we've been together... we showed her pictures... blahblah.. and then she gets the big'ol stamp out and whacks a big 'ol APPROVED on my file. :)
Everything's good.. Pretty much everything's done... I am approved for my greencard. It's in the mail as we speak.
I will be able to work as early as next week, maybe. :)
Once it arrives in the mail, I'm going to the social security office, getting my number.. and hitting the pavement.
J. Lyn Arenz (giggle), officially is allowed to work, live, stay in the US.... and whenever the greencard gets here - TRAVEL OUTSIDE OF!!
So - this is also another time for news.
Colin and I will be coming to Toronto at the end of May.
We're not sure of the exact dates, but we know 100% for sure that we will be in the GTA on May25th, and in the area for a week surrounding that date somehow. My cousin is getting married that friday, north of Toronto and I can't miss it. :)
So, this could mean you might have two extra ninja's for AN, Jon... for saturday. :P
We were thinking maybe a wed-wed trip, but we're still looking up flights and whatnot. So it's a little up in the air a bit.
Our whole trip won't be in TO though.. I have to go home to visit my dad, and sort out things at the wedding/reception site, and see my mom as well....gah.. maybe my grandparents too.. oh goodness.. It's gonna be a whirlwind of a trip.
So there you have it folks... an actual Lyn-sighting will occur in TO at the end of May..
Also - with a couple of payments already made - I'd like to assure people that our wedding is still a Go.. we're still planning on the same place, and more details will be mailed out soon. (something else I've been working on while being non-existant)
Much love to everyone. You're all missed a great deal.. ....so much more than you can possibly imagine.
Oh! And we bought our first piece of 'GrownUp' furniture, and we LOVE it so very much. BEST DININGROOM TABLE EVER! omg.. I'll have to take pics.. :P
