We went to visit with our 'family away from home' family for the US Thanksgiving this past wed/thurs and had an awesome time. I've hooked my friend Tony on GuitarHero. We played KaraokeRevolutions til we couldn't sing anymore... then on thursday there was the huge meal. Colin and I played legos all day with the cutest little kids making them airplanes and tossing/lifting them 'til our arms were completely numb. Needless to say, we have to very big fans that hope to see us again. I got a drawing to hang on my fridge! *squee*
....yeah, I can't wait to have kids, and I think it'll work out well when it happens - but OH GOD it's totally not happening for a while still... omg no.
Saturday we got together with two other friends who gave us a WONDERFUL wedding gift. We have new games!! Eee! Then the four of us went to visit another great friend who's currently recovering from surgery in a long-term care facility. Looks like he'll be there for a while, but if we can visit frequently and have fun evenings like we did last night - I think he'll make it just fine. ;) We played the 'Order of the Stick' card game which was new to all of us, and lots of fun. (it's based on the online comic, and was filled with giggles and fun monster smashing and dungeon looting)
Then today - to top off a wonderful weekend... It snowed today!
oh... and we went and saw Barenaked Ladies play in Everett (the place we tend to disappear to on most weekends, where Pi, kreely and Vermi live).
ehehhee..
The concert was AWESOME. They put on a really solid show, reaching back all the way to 'Gordon'. They played for a good two hours as well. It was a load of fun and I'm pretty sure everyone had a terrific time. They did two encores, and we even got a smattering of Christmas numbers! It was really great.
And the snow was/is really cool. They got a heap-ton more in Everett than we did in our neck of the woods (we're about a 40minute drive south of Everett, and a good distance from the mountains unlike them). There were snowball fights aplenty before the show, and we made some snowmen as well, of course. :)
Now for a week of crazy packing a shifting to the new place. Technically, we're to get the keys tomorrow. :) I'm SUPER excited about the whole thing. No painting just yet, but we'd rather just get everything in and get over there first. I CAN'T WAIT!
I'm off for now.
Cross your fingers for me that we make it through this week. Colin's working crazy hours plus having class and two whole interview days (he's interviewing for fulltime Microsoft positions... as opposed to the contract work he's doing now) - and the whole move thing. Things are supertight financially right now (boy, just when we thought we were ahead... way to go CONDO... darn you to heck... Ohhhh but I love so much... *sighs happily*) but we can do it... We'll pull through somehow. :)
