A sorta update...I guess. :)
Okay - first off -----
For those of you with the 2003 Battlestar Galactica Season 1 dvds -- Check this out!!
Okay, so we've begun watching the first season again to introduce our favourite scifi/addiction to our friend Ryan.
We're not even ten minutes in, and I flip out yelling for the remote -- "Go back!!Go back!! No way was that really what I saw!!"
During the first introductory shot of the Caprica city skyline - as we're zooming in and noticing ships flying above the buildings --
WATCH FOR THE SHIP THAT ENTERS THE SHOT FROM TOP-CENTRE AND CUT ACROSS TO THE LEFT.
I couldn't believe my eyes, and thought it was the coolest thing in the world.
Leave it to me to find little bitty stuff like that.. heh...
Anyhoo - the_raif and I have some pretty good news actually.
We're delving into the beginnings of homeownership!
By the end of the week, if all goes well, and we sort out the terms to our liking, we're going to be signing papers that will have us owning our very own condo in a about a year's time. We'll be doing a lease-to-own sorta situation, getting a great deal in a sweet location (just around the corner from where we are now).
We're both pretty excited, and really looking forward to having our own piece of the world.
No worries though - we're still planning on returning to Canada at some point. Still within the 5 year range...
We'll keep you posted on things that are a-brewin'.
Oh - and the resort/reception place that we've planned on for our wedding next fall has been reserved and booked officially. There will be more info going out soon to everyone.
Things are going well. ....just waiting on the paperwork still.
