You know how awesome you feel when you pull out your winter coat, and magically find a fiver in one of the pockets...
Well -- I've been unpacking more random boxes of things in an attempt to straighten things up and organize our place.
Today's box included clothing that I could never find once we moved... a backpack filled with random socks. (my drawer of mismatched socks is going to love me today. a few of my collectibles, some costume bits and a random Ikea bag filled with stuff that looked to be from under my bed or something (cool glitter markers, stationary, that gorilla mask that Sara and Daryl got for me for my birthday two years ago, and some birthday cards from that night).
You guys remember that birthday, right?...we went to Peddler's then off to our favourite karaoke place? (well, some of you do, I'm sure)
Anyway... the birthday cards. One has this neato envelope with holes in it, and the card is only half-envelope size...so I go to open it to see who it's from. It's from my aunt and my cousin, something about a birthday hug monkey - yeah, it's awesome. I open it up, and guess what falls out onto my lap?
A crisp hundred dollar bill.
I'm so serious!
Mind you... it's a Canadian hundred..not all that good here, but still!
I'm usually pretty good about putting away presents like that... but that thing's been in there for a year and a half. Wowie!
I totally could have used that when we went to Vancouver or something... to buy more TimTams and Oreos (I've only got one more row of Oreos left..*pout*)
What an awesome surprise.
Maybe I should buy a lotto ticket or something..
