So since Sushi was unplugged yesterday, I was thinking about a lot of things. One of the things that came up is that I haven't gotten to nearly as many books as I used to. In particular, I never used to buy more books than I could read, but recently that's been an issue.
There are a couple things I think have changed in the last year or so that could cause this.
- Writing - Much of this started to fall apart when I started writing, because I spent a lot of my free time that was previously spent reading, now writing.
- TV - I've been watching more shows recently. Between Rai and Kim, I've picked up more shows than I used to watch. I used to just run Disney in the background, and since most of them were reruns, I was able to work, read, whatever while it was on
- Authors - I've picked up a few authors, so I probably am buying more books than I used to.
- Classes - I don't have as many classes as I used to, and waiting for class to start was one of my most frequent time to read. I'm now not in any classes, so when I'm at my desk I don't have the time to take a break to read.
- Gaming - Let's face it, I've been gaming a lot. The couple hours several times a week is definitely eating into my reading time. I've also been spending a bunch of off-time planning and thinking about what I'm doing for the games I'm running
- AIM Addiction - It's also possible that my AIM addiction has gotten worse over the past few years.
So now what?
