Having read my friends' pages for the first time in ages I would like to declare that everyone is deserving of a break filled with sunshine and cocktails on terraces. Let us all declare that life is too short for annoyance and over work and sloughs of despondency and live jubilantly in a land of plenty and frolicksome gallantry.
In this spirit of determined happiness I shall remind myself that I have a lace parasol and lavendar shoes and black pearl earrings and all is well in the world.
Oh yee brave livejournalers call forth your last reserves of spriteliness! Rise up and skip in merry humour! Though the weather is grey and it has just started raining (and I only have a tan goat skin jacket to wear home) we must look beyond this seeming doominess to find the underbelly of hope hidden beneath the midriff of life's cares.
This I declare as I venture forth into the wind and rain and onto the southeastern line with only a briefing paper on insurance issues to keep me company on the long ride home.
