Thankfulness...
Let's talk about thankfulness.
I see some people posting the same things over and over (guilty I guess because I didn't wanna post my true thoughts)
"I'm thankful for..."
In my opinion you can only be truly thankful when you've risen from the bottom and worked your way up. If you've been somewhere in the middle or the top the whole time your thanks are just repetitions of what everyone else is saying to make yourself look like a decent human.
So here's my real thanks. I'm thankful for a roof over my head. Because I've been without. I'm thankful for food in my belly and cupboards due to the generosity of friends and family. Because again I've been to the place where all I've had was milk and half a loaf of bread to last several weeks.
I'm thankful for friends and family to keep my spirits high when I'm feeling down. So that I don't fall into that dark place I was once before.
I am thankful for a healthy little boy. Who tells me he loves me unconditionally without fear. May we see our world through children's eyes and realize the wrongs we have done and correct them.
