Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! May God's blessings be abundant this glorious day. The best two presents I received from my family were a wooden cross for my wall and a Canon digital camera. I gave my mom a silver Holy Mother necklace while I gave my father a Lowe's gift card for $25. My parents together received (also from me) the Illuminations ornaments from Hallmark, a wooden cross for their wall (though theirs was from a man in Jerusalem), and a nativity ornament.

Most special, my father had my mother's wedding ring cleaned and resized. He also purchased her a new wedding band similar to her original one that cannot be resized. That was probably the most meaningful gift of all this year (material-wise, anyway).

I also watched the Disney Merry Christmas parade for about an hour and a half. It looked like a lot of fun, and I also got excited because I am going to the Magic Kingdom with my mother on Wednesday the 28th.

While on the subject of Disney, Heather and I visited Downtown Disney on Wednesday the 21st. This was after we brought some gifts to Daystar for children. While at Downtown Disney, we saw the Voices of Liberty sing as well as saw some man performing magic tricks. We also purchased dinner at the Rainforest Cafe and fudge brownie sundaes at Ghirardelli. (I would have purchased the chocolate lava flowing volcano at the Rainforest Cafe if I had not decided on eating at Ghirardelli. Heather proclaimed that sundaes were better at Ghirardelli than at Kilwin's in St. Augustine, yet I told her they were about the same.) I also purchased two items in Downtown Disney, a "It's A Wonderful Life" movie book as well as an ornament from Lady and the Tramp.

For the remainder of today, I am bringing a rosary to my grandmother that has the land of Jordan in it. Visiting her will be difficult, seeing her chemotherapy has become more intense. The doctors cannot remove some of the cancer from her femur, so they are trying to attack it with this more intensified chemotherapy. My mother is coming and bringing my grandfather a Mickey Mouse ornament for the fiftieth anniversary of Disney.

My parents and I will be eating dinner at 3:00, consisting of ham and the other fixings. After that, we'll most likely relax. There isn't much else planned today.

I hope your Christmas has been blessed. God bless!
