DW News: Series 6 Countdown, Doctor's birthdays and DVD Releases!
LESS THAN 12 DAYS LEFT UNTIL SERIES 6 PREMIERES.
OMFG. I CAN'T FREAKING WAIT.
In honor of this special event, I'm going be celebrating by counting down the Top 11 Series 5 episodes/moments, starting tomorrow.
Also, Peter Davison's 60th (April 13) and David Tennant's 40th (April 18th) birthdays are in that waiting span.
Their beautiful new daughter/grandaughter, Olivia, was born about a little over a week ago, and now the two ex-Doctors are both going to be celebrating birthdays that end in 0's? How freaking awesome it that?!
Expect to see some arts in the next week or so. :D
Speaking of Peter Davison, 2 Fifth Doctor serials come out on DVD on Tuesday, April 12th (the day before Davison's birthday, no less!): Kinda and Snakedance - THE MARA EPISODES! They were packaged as "The Mara Tales" in the UK, but in North America, it seems that the Region 1 DVDs will be separate. (But you can celebrate Davison's birthday in style the next day!)
And the best part for those DVDs - at least from what I've seen in regardence for Kinda - is that awful snake puppet is being replaced with a far more realistic CGI snake! (I think you'll have the option to choose between the televised and the remastered version, but for me, the remastered version looks a lot more threatening and scarier.)
FAN-FREAKING-TASTIC.
Mark your calendars, if you haven't yet, folks. April is going to be a great month for Whovians. :)
(Between this and Eleven popping out of the cake at Rory's bachelor party, this is still my fave funny Matt Smith moment (so far). I'll be using this GIF a lot, so you might have to get used to it. Tumblr's my friend when it comes to these things...)
