First post of '06! WHO CARES!!!!

Jan 03, 2006 12:06

Well, my winter break's been fantastic. When I look back on this one, what I'll probably remember most is working on the scarf I made for Trent. I got up every morning for a week, sat down in front of the television, and watched Food Network and crochetted. I took it everywhere--when we got in the car, I pulled that sucker out. It's like I temporarily turned into an old hag!! AWESOME.

Christmas wound up being fairly lucrative this year. I mostly got things that will help me with The Carronade. Here is a list of books, new ones included, that I am using for research.

The Victorians
Everyday Life in Regency and Victorian England from 1811-1901
What Jane Austen Ate and Charles Dickens Knew: The Facts of Daily Life in 19-Century England
Everyday Life in the 1800s
The Art and Science of Fencing
The History of American Sailing Ships
The Victorian Sailor
The History of Underclothes
1000 Years of Fashion
No Plot? No Problem!
The Writer's Guide to Character Traits
How to Write and Sell Historical Fiction

WAAAHAAHAHAA! I'm unstoppable!!!!

*cough*

I think this one speaks for itself.

My new Victorian booooooots!!!!!
