Happy Birthday and other stuff
Happy birthday to the always delightful, never boring oncelikeshari! You should all go see the entry she posted to magicoffriends right here. Defintely hilarious! Hope your cheese and eclairs were everything you hoped!
So this morning, I joined an alarming number of flisties in having no heat when I woke this morning. Unfortunately, it was only about 5°F. (-15°C.) this morning, so the house was pretty stinkin' cold. Hubby called the gas company - we have a service contract for our furnace and air conditioner - and they were able to come out by about 9 am. Fortunately, it was not our furnace, but the thermostat that was the problem. A new one was covered by the service contract without an extra fee. My dog and I went to a friend's house while our house warmed up, and by the time we got home at 2:00, it was warm again.
While at my friend's house, we watched a couple episodes of the tv show Psych. I don't actually watch much tv and I'd never seen it before. It was pretty funny, though, in a dopey sort of way.
I apparently require at nap every afternoon at 3:30. This is convenient - NOT.
And now, it's time for me to pry my son away from Destroyed in Seconds on the discovery channel. We like to watch this one together and say, "What could possibly go wrong?"
