Downside is that the "deflated balloon" effect has hit my face pretty good now. It will get worse before it gets better.
I've been tracking my weight for a few years now, pretty much since my doctor suggested the bariatric surgery. The tracking is in Excel, which is a rather nifty tool-- I have a decimation filter on the data to capture the weekly trends and filter out the day-to-day noise. I set it up as a windowed filter for the past seven days, so each data point on the chart represents the average of the previous seven days-- it makes the trends much easier to see.
I don't have the actual dates marked, but an interesting trend is that in the winter, my weight goes up. You can also see the plateau that I've had for the past couple of months, and the very last downslope that corresponds to my kicking up my bike workout.
I have a challenge of 60 lbs. in six months that's already started. Essentially I'm aiming for my first goal by CONvergence. I'm almost exactly 40 lbs away. I probably won't make it, but I should be close.
