Junno stared up in to the open blue skies, breathing in the sweet aroma of the spring he missed so much. Though he knew it was missing something, something so important but fragile to him. This was not the spring that he remembered. It was not this lonely, not this empty, and not this fake. It could have been perfect, but it was missing Tatsuya. It was missing Tatsuya like the ground missing snow, like the night missing stars, and like the ocean missing it's breeze. Nothing seemed real to him without the simple smile he had come to know. Not realizing the significance it had on his heart until, it was gone. Gone in the blink of his eye, and the flash of a camera. Not quite sure why though. Junno continued to stare up at the sky that was matching the color of his tears, they slid down his cheek silently. Whispering a silent prayer he looked across the garden of his mind, watching all of his memories with Tatsuya start to wither. No matter how much he wanted them to stay alive. He didn't want to forget, even if it hurt him. Hurt him so much inside that he couldn't help but cry in his sleep-less nights. The memories he had would always be theirs, and if he let them fade. They would have nothing left of each other. So he continued to dream, and watch, and wait. For the return that he just knew was coming, though it seemed late. He decided he would wate forever if he had to.
Then Tatsuya came home.
And Junno wept once more, but this time they were tears of joy. Tatsuya smiled, the way Junno knew he would. And all the world felt right again, and spring finally warmed the ice around Junno's frozen heart.
Spring had sprung.
