“Vala, get a move on! We’re gonna be...” Cam trailed off when he saw an envelope on her dresser. “What’s this?”
“What’s what?”
He looked at the familiar handwriting with growing dread. “My mother wrote you a letter?”
"Oh yes," Vala answered with a smile. "We bonded, you know."
"You gonna write back?"
"Of course! I can't be rude. Plus, I would love to hear some more of her wonderful stories."
Cam felt a little sick wondering exactly what his mother had told Vala that put that twinkle in her eye.
"Now come on, Cameron. We're going to be late."
Time Flies

Summary: Daniel hates the end of the weekend
“I don’t think we got out of bed all weekend,” Daniel mused as he sprawled half on top of Jack, inhaling Jack’s scent, trying to store it up for the weeks ahead.
“mmm...” The idle pattern of Jack’s fingers on his arm gave Daniel the most delicious shivers.
“It’s Sunday night.”
“Time flies, yadda.”
Daniel frowned. “You’re awfully cavalier about it. When do you fly out anyway?”
“‘m not. As of Friday night, I am officially General Jack O’Neill, Retired.”
Daniel’s kiss interrupted Jack’s grand speech, but Jack managed to pull back long enough to say,
“Surprise, honey. I’m home.”
In other news, I watched Stargate the movie last night, possibly for the first time since it was in the theaters. It really held up well. I was afraid that I would be too used to the series and RDA and MS to really enjoy it, but I did like what Russell and Spader did overall. I ended up watching the whole thing even though I was only intending to watch the beginning as research for one of my hetbigbang stories which deals with an alternate beginning to the stargate program. I really wanted to refresh my memory on how and what Daniel did to get it going and reading the transcripts only goes so far, so it was fortuitous that BBCAmerica chose to show it when I was sitting there vegging in front of the TV!! :D
