First Grimoire//Rose Lalonde\\Video [Slytherin Common]

Nov 09, 2011 23:17

[She's in the Slytherin Common room as per usual with a book in her lap even more as per usual. Rose hasn't really found much time to devote to these devices, as she's been rather absorbed in being a real motherfucking wizard at a real motherfucking wizard school. The girl must have plowed through a good portion of the library already. However, now ( Read more... )

[ He's been working on his homework in a different corner when the sound of the girl's voice catches his attention. Wow, she talks even more than his brother. ]

...The restricted section?

[Rose doesn't necessarily feel the need to tear her away from her current reading selection, "Wizard Blood: How the Arte of Magic is Inherited" but she'll most certainly offer a response.]

That would be what I was referring to, yes. Excellent to know my fellow Slytherin have basic comprehension skills.

[ Somehow, he feels like she might be using sarcasm... Why don't people state things simply. It wastes time, otherwise. ]

You can get special permission from the professors, if you can give a good enough reason. [ The implication there is that it does not have to be a real reason. ] Professor Snape might allow you permission, because he favors this house.

That's what I assumed, however as a lowly [Yeah Rolo can probably taste the disdain when she says that.] second year I'm bracing my attitude for the prospect of innumerable hoops that will need a brisk jump through.

Snape has made himself scarce since the inferi incident...Hopefully I can entice him out of the woodwork with scholarly fervor.

[Dave is seen laying back in a very comfortable position, a book resting carelessly over his face while he exaggerates a "Zzzzzz."]

Yawn Lalonde, remind me to use your blabbing as the perfect medication for sleepless nights.

Find anything interesting.

Soliciting me to read you bedtime stories, Strider? [She can't help a cheeky grin.]

Knock me out faster than a warm glass of milk, snoozing like a baby upon first sip. You should read The Little Engine that Could. That will get me pumped and motivated for the next day. Choo choo.

My my, Strider. When did you acquire a taste for such sophisticated literature?
Hath mine studiousness finally rubbed off on my fair ectobiological brother?

[ Wordy little thing, isn't she? It's a bit like L went and swallowed a thesaurus after shrinking into a prim little madam. Responding from the Quidditch pitch, the sight of the bleachers and the occasional zooming figure beyond gives away his position clearly enough. ]

I can let you borrow one or two of my textbooks, Lalonde. [ Thinks that's her name; he remembers hearing it bandied about the common room of an evening. ] As long as you get them back to me within a week. They'd be third-year level.

Looks like I'll be accosting myself for my doubt of the kindness of strangers.

[There's a sort of wry smile on her face and she gives him a once-over. Slytherin sure does have it's share of suspicious, thinly framed males.]

I don't suppose you're intent on releasing clandestine information such as what these texts may pertain to?

Absolutely not, that would spoil the surprise.

[ Suspicious? Never! FIGHT ME, LELOUCH. ]

If you tell me which subjects you'd like more information on, I'll pick up something else when I go to the library tonight.

Oh, what jovial discourse! You have me taken quite aback, Mr...Yagami, is it? [Now the look is definitely garnering a healthy coat of facetiousness, though there's still a bristle of genuine graciousness. Not that she's convinced he's just being nice for the sake of being nice. To make such a notion upon your first interaction with someone is fairly absurd.]

As for what I may find most captivating: Tomes in reference to the bestially strange or destructive magics enshrouded by the mists of time and superstition.
