As you mayormaynot know, I really, really, really, like music from independent artists. That's not the point of this post though, so I'll get on with it. One of my favorite bands ever is Harvey Danger (Remember "Flagpole Sitta"? Yeah? Well that was their ginormous hit), and I believe that I have proof of their awesomeness in their latest cd (not exactly new) as well as in their attitude. This CD is called "Little By Little" and it is as artsy-fartsy, intellectual, and gloriously composed and written as any of their other work, and the best part is that they have self-released it. Yes. That's right. You can get what is possibly one of my favorite CDs EVER for FREE. Legally, I note. You can get it for yourself at

Give that a listen. It doesn't sound like any cheaply-produced crap does it? It sounds GOOD. Really good. Like the kind of CD they could make a lot of money off of if they sold it. Sadly, they could probably bring in plenty from their fans, but not too many people are aware of their existence. All that aside, I like their attitude. Their reasoning behind this is just plain neat.

If I was in a freaking band, I think my music would sound something like that. Or at least I would aspire to that.
Out of ten, I give this album easily a nine. I think on my scale, tens are written and performed by God himself. Hence, Harvey Danger must be at LEAST Jesus.
