Summary: Things don't always go according to plan. Life's a rough road and there are the occasional bumps along the way. When things go awry...what one needs is time. Kame is filming Kami No Shizuku and Jin is filming Bandage. Their schedules are both packed and they're lacking the one thing they need the most...time for each other.
A/N: UWA~ Finally, it's the last chapter. I finally managed to finish a multichapter, albeit it is short. :P Well, this was originally a one-shot but then....I posted as a multichapter instead. Room 213, 5th floor, Tokyo General Hospital
Kame was hesitant to enter at first but he did anyway. He silently pushed open the door and entered the room.
“Kame. Yo.” Maru greeted him.
“Hey. How is he?” He asked, looking at Jin who was sleeping peacefully albeit a little pale
“The doctor said it was over-fatigue. He’s also running a fever but they said he’s gonna be okay. He just needs rest, A LOT of rest.” Maru replied.
Kame sighed in relief. “Thank goodness it was nothing serious” he said.
Maru stood up from the chair set beside Jin’s bed. “I’ll leave you here for a bit. I have to call Reio then I’ll go get coffee. You want anything?” Maru asked.
“Decaf” was all Kame said.
“Okay then.” Maru replied with a small smile then he went out leaving Kame alone with Jin.
Kame sat down where Maru was previously seated. He took in Jin’s features and noticed how much weight he’s lost. He took Jin’s hand in his own and sighed. “This is ALL my fault…I’m sorry Jin. I should have known.” He looked down, ashamed. Kame felt so guilty. He thought about all the times Jin came home and he was too busy with memorizing his script to even pass the older one a glance.
“Tadaima” Jin said as he took off his shoes .After a long day at work he was looking forward to having dinner with his Kazu. His greeting was answered by nothing but silence. He made his way to the living room. And there, Kame was sprawled on the couch reading through his script. “I’m home” he said again.
“Oh. Hi Jin.” Kame said without even looking at Jin.
“Have you had dinner?” Jin asked.
“Yeah” Kame replied, attention still on his script.
Jin, sensing that Kame’s attention was somewhere else, sighed. “I guess…I’ll just go to sleep already. I still have filming tomorrow.”
“Sure” mumbled Kame.
“Don’t stay up too late. Oyasumi.” Jin said then he went to their bedroom and fell back into their bed.
“He was always worrying about me but all I was thinking about was myself…I’m so selfish” he scolded himself.
“I’m really sorry...” He said out loud as he kissed the back of Jin’s hand. “You’re too good for me…I don’t deserve you.” He whispered to the sleeping figure. He brushed away the stray strands of hair on Jin’s face then he ran his hands through the older one’s brown locks. “It took me so much time to realize all that….” He thought.
Jin’s hand reached up to his. “It’s not your fault” he said hoarsely.
“I thought you were sleeping…” Kame said in surprise.
“Was.” Jin replied.
“I’m sorry if I woke you up.” Kame apologized.
“Kazu…Stop apologizing. You didn’t do anything.” Jin retorted.
“I know. I haven’t done ANYTHING. That’s why I should be apologizing. I’ve been so busy over my drama I barely had any time for you yet you…you always worried about me and took care of me, reminding me to eat and sleep but me, all I’m thinking about is myself…so…I’m sorry.” Kame apologized once again.
“Kazu stop. It’s alright. I understand…you were busy. It’s just normal.” Jin said with a smile.
“Jin…” was all Kame could utter. He really couldn’t believe his lover. No matter how many times he screwed up, Jin was always there for him, ready to forgive him.
“I love you Kazu. No matter what happens. I don’t care if you’re too busy for me, as long as I know you’re happy with what you’re doing then I’m fine with it too.” Jin said.
“Jin…I-I love you too.” Kame replied with a blush. He tilted a little closer to the bed and planted a kiss on Jin’s forehead. “I love you SO much.” He reiterated.
No matter what happened between the two of them everything always turned out okay. All they needed was a little time to realize their mistakes.
