The Diagnosis

Well peeps, my computer was sent off yesterday for some serious tech work. They backed up my data onto a portable HD that I bought (which is so nice and small, why did it take me this long to get one?!) and told me that the following was wrong with my comp:

• The hard drive needed to be replaced.
• The CD/DVD drive bezel was broken (yeah, I did that not too long ago, oops!)
  
• The computer was overheating (no duh!)

So they estimate I won't get my comp back until 9/14 which is the day we get back from vacation. At least a week of my withdrawal time I will be at the beautiful beaches of Puerto Vallarta with Juan. That should make things easier. ;)

I also got the laptop battery and AC adaptor for my laptop in the mail this week. Talk about milking my Protection Service Plan! I think that I have used up just about as much product and services as what my laptop cost - at least!

I still miss my own settings and having my own computer.
