Weekend update
So my computer is with the Geek Squad at Best Buy. They will do a backup of all my data onto a portable HD and DVD's. They will run a diagnostic and see what the hell is wrong with it. The guy thought it has a serious HD issue, so they may need to replace the whole thing. I hope that they give me a bigger HD (they would if they are out of stock of the size that mine is), but I doubt it.
It will get a full workup and I already ordered the replacement battery and AC adaptor. I really love the Protection Service Plan (PSP). It paid for itself a long time ago. I have gotten two laptop batteries (could have gotten three), a new keyboard (which was totally unnecessary, but nice), and of course the tech support that I am getting now. The only thing not covered is data recovery, but that is to be expected.
So it may be another day before I have my comp back, or it could be much worse. It could be two weeks. *crosses fingers*
At least I have Juan's computer, even if I don't have all of my stuff on it. :/
The really good thing? The PSP runs out in a little over a month. Talk about timing, eh?
