This morning marked the Winter Solstice as the sun moved into Capricorn.

At Newgrange in Ireland for the first time Heritage Ireland set up a live webcast at sunrise on the 21st as well as the 22nd so that people around the world could see the sun rise and illuminate the chamber. Only a few people per year are given physical access to the site. ( Read more... )
