Mostly boring and rambling. I'm sorry!

I keep going back to Facebook to look at people I went to school with. I've done it before of course but I'm becoming a bit obsessed by it at the moment. I'm just fascinated by what that look like. My old colleague Liz used to go to a lot of her school reunions (she's twenty years older than me) and she always said that 'people turn out exactly ( Read more... )

With my anxiety I haven't had dizziness for days but I've had the spaced out jelly legs feeling on and off for days and tingly arms, legs and face. Oh and I get weird feelings of pressure in the head and neck sometimes. If you actually passed out they might take you seriously but feeling like you're going to pass out doesn't cut it with the medical profession. You should go again and ask for blood tests for overactive thyroid, maybe they could test you for menieres (sp?) disease and other things that can cause dizziness. If that doesn't help you could try complementary therapies. You do have to keep pestering them though, it took me 3 GP appointments to get a referral to the mental health services and 4 appointments to get diagnosed with asthma, even the asthma nurse didn't spot it and said I had a cough. Don't give up the exercise, just be gentle and walk and swim, running like a mad man will get your heart rate up too much and it is probably high enough. You could try yoga. I guess weights are OK too but I don't acknowledge ( ... )

Thank you for this, it helped to put my mind at ease. The funny thing was, I did pass out a few weeks ago and forgot to mention it! I wasn't sure if it was related though. Still, I am feeling better than I was so I'm just going to wait for a bit to see how I go. One thing that the doctor did do was take my blood pressure and that was fine so at least I was assured that I wasn't going to drop down dead. With the pins and needles the first thing that came to mind was heart problems so at least I know that that's ok.

Hehe, as for money-earning boyfriends, we're on a similar wage, it's just that James seems to get all the perks! That's what I get for working in education though isn't it?

Well that's nice, David earns twice as much as I do and we get no perks at all except the days off between Christmas and New Year. David gets quite a bit of annual leave anyway plus statutory days that universities get as standard.

The passing out could have just been a one off thing and then maybe worrying about it could have made you feel like it would happen again.

I think living with someone who earns twice as much as you do is a perk ;) Well, providing that he spends it on you that is! I can see taht being the case in our house eventually. Civil servants get paid much more than librarians in general!

I do agree though, the only perk I get is the niec Christmas hols! What does David do at his Uni?

David works in IT support, he does the little things such as helping people who for example have a lost a shortcut on their desk top to updating websites and dealing with the network when it breaks down. He does quite a lot there but this time of year is very quiet, his job usually depends on how many staff are in for him to support. He doesn't support students.
