getting to know you
Positive characteristics: I'm compassionate and care a lot about people. I'm really passionate about certain causes, which I definitely view as a good thing. I consider myself pretty intelligent and creative.
Negative characteristics: I have a tendency to speak without thinking, and obsess over certain things. I have a lot of mood swings. I'm pretty quick to judge, also, which I'm working on.
Neutral characteristics: I'm shy, and hate it when people think it's a negative thing. Um, no.
Quote that describes you: "You are not required to finish the work [of saving the world]. But neither are you free to desist from beginning it."
Motto that you live by (if different from above):

these are a few of my favorite things

Fantasy novel: Love the Song of Ice and Fire series.

The follow questions are optional - if you know the answer, please respond. If you are unsure, feel free to leave blank.
What is your Myers-Briggs personality type? Would you agree? ( Test ) Huh, I haven't seen this short one! I'm a total INFP, which this site classifies as a Dreamy Idealist, and, um, yeah. I love this paragraph in particular:

Dreamy Idealists are always at great pains to improve the world. They can be very considerate towards others and do a lot to support them and stand up for them. They are interested in their fellow beings, attentive and generous towards them. Once their enthusiasm for an issue or person is aroused, they can become tireless fighters.

What are your highest intelligences according to Gardner? Linguistic and Intrapersonal. I'd say that's fairly accurate.
What is your alignment? Chaotic neutral.
What is your zodiac symbol? Does it fit you? ( Western / Chinese / Celtic )

Western: Gemini. And actually, that is pretty damn accurate.
Chinese: Snake. Earth Snake, specifically. Earth Snakes always seem to be calm and content. They’re friendly and approachable and believe that they’ll reap great rewards by working hard and relying on common sense. Just quoting that so you have a reference when I say: not even remotely.
Celtic: The Hawthorn: They put the term “never judge a book by its cover” to the test. They live seemingly average lives while on the inside they carry fiery passions and inexhaustible creative flame. They are well adjusted and can adapt to most life situations well [...] You are naturally curious, and have an interest in a broad range of topics. I'd agree with this one.

Do you have any siblings? What order are you? I'm the oldest of three, with two younger brothers.
Would you consider yourself religious or spiritual? Sort of? Not religious per se, but definitely spiritual.

would you rather
These are very extreme opposites, meant to be difficult to choose. Pretend you're being forced to decided one or the other.
Sacrifice yourself to save your friends or save them by marrying the villain? I'd sacrifice myself in a heartbeat. Better to die than lead a miserable life.
Fight to the death or have someone else rescue you? I'm going to have to go with fighting to the death. Depending on who I was fighting, maybe, but being saved would be kind of embarrassing.
Live in a land of deadly dinosaurs, atrocious aliens, or mythical monsters? Are the aliens necessarily atrocious? Because I think living with good aliens would absolutely rock, but if they're evil, humanity-enslaving aliens, then I'll go with the dinosaurs. Because they're DINOSAURS.
Wear a crown or corset or combat boots? Or all three? All three! Well, actually, maybe just the corset and combat boots. I'd think a crown would be kind of annoying to wear all the time.
Sneak into the enemy’s lair or break down the front door guns a-blazing? I'll go with sneaking in. Not that guns a-blazin' isn't awesome, but I'd think that sneakiness would have a better success rate, unless you're really, really clumsy. (Which I'm not!)
Have superpowers and have thousands of enemies or be ordinary and forgettable, but safe? SUPERPOWERS. Sure, enemies, but being forgettable is just...boring. (Well, obviously.)
Live with your loving family, but never leave home or not have anyone close to you, but go on adventures? That second one. I mean, I love my family, but never leaving would be boring. And being a major introvert, I'm not desperate for closeness.

the hero in all of us
Would you travel in a group or be a loner? What role in the group would you fill? I'd be a total loner. It probably wouldn't be as safe as traveling in a group (depending on the environment, of course), but at least I know I can trust myself.
What would be your costume? The above-mentioned corset-and-combat-boots combo sounds pretty awesome! (Or should I go with "cool"?) Or, well, definitely boots, and then something easy to move in - pants, definitely, and maybe a tank top? I don't know about specifics, but something practical-yet-fashionable!
What would be your weapon of choice? I think staves are pretty awesome.
Would you have a sidekick or pet? A pet! One that could help me out, obviously. An awesome one...of some kind.
Any special powers? Telekinesis would be pretty rad. Or flight! I would love to fly.
If you could invent any device, what would it be and what would it do? A teleportation device. We seriously need teleportation, like, yesterday. Beaming anywhere instantly? Yes, please! (Okay, how sad is it that Firefox's dictionary doesn't recognize "teleportation" as a word?)
What sub-genre would you be a part of? (romance/comedy/action…) I don't know, anything but comedy or horror.
What conflict would you prefer? (man v. man, man v. wild…) Man versus man! Always the most interesting to me.

look at me
