So I think I am going to use my LJ as a tracker of working out. I have a crazy goal, but I think it might just motivate me to get into shape. I want to swim the Narragansett Bay Save the Bay Swim across the East Passage of the Bay next summer. This summer's swim is July 26th, much too soon for me to even consider. The plus to the swim is even if I'm not totally ready for a 1.7 mile swim, I get to have a personal kayaker to help me if I get tired. So here is my plan:
Start eating healthier...I am going to start writing down everything I eat.
Start a walking/running regimen 3 times a week working up to full out running (maybe I'll like it).
Motivate Sara so Sara motivates me!
When I get a job...get a membership to the Y and swim on non running days.
I am making this public knowledge (because so many people are going to see this...rolleyes) so that I can't turn my back on it. If it seems as though I have...beat me up.
The other good thing about the swim...is people can pledge money for me to do it and it all goes to Save the Bay to help restore Narragansett Bay.
