Writers of the Future Contest
I have decided that FLUX is the perfect novel to send into this contest I have found. It's too good an opportunity to pass up, and I am thoroughly excited about it.
And here is a very rough excerpt of FLUX:
Become invisible. They were not to be seen by her and she was not to be seen by them. Her determination was doubled when two others, armed, deadly, and horrible, slithered out of her burning house and disappeared into the shadows.
Rippers.
She choked back another sob as she realized the ugly fate that had been bestowed on her family. Rippers. What a terrifying and hopeless way to die. Torn from limb to limb and feasted on by bloodthirsty monsters. Remains left to burn.
The petrified screams of terror from her father and brother were not from flames, but from mutilation. They were not devoured by flames, but by beasts.
