A Happier Note of the Day.
Person 3: Allie
Why do you like him/her: She is so fucking cool! Allie has this way about her that makes you care about nothing when you're around her, and it's actually SO comforting. It's probably because I associate Allie with the parties she throws, which are just pure relaxation and fun! She's just so quirky and awesome. Allie is adorable, and seems to be incredibly confident in acting like a weirdo in public. Everything about Allie is casual and yet... uh, electric(?) at the same time. She is kind of a handful every now and again, but I don't think I would change her either. :D
Reading this makes me achingly happy. Taryn, who posted this within the first two months we'd met, is not one for giving compliments. And this is probably the highest compliment she could have ever given me. Although this may have changed, it gives me something in my personality to focus on, because it's something that appeals to my friends. Apparently. And the best thing is, I didn't even know it was there. :)
On another happy note, I have finished the preface to my novel Flux. It's a fantasy/sci-fi novel with a lot of plot, and I'm deleriously happy that I was finally able to string out the first page or so. I never quite knew how to begin. And it's all thanks to the two new books I got! The Elements of Style by Strunk and White, and NOW WRITE! Nonfiction edited by Sherry Ellis. Although it is for nonfiction, the exercise still worked to get my idea out in a way that I could fish out a preface.
And I, truthfully, got no homework done...unless practicing my guitar counts. :S Shit. I'm such a horrible procrastinator. I suck.
But I'm just too proud of myself to be angry at the same time! HAHA! I pwned my writers block to hell. Man, that feels good.
Now if only I can continue onto the next few pages....
