School days, school days

Highlights of the week:

-French: We have not been taught how to say "mother," "father," "water," "bread," or "pencil," but we have been taught how to say "management consultant." Ahh, Harvard.

-Irish: When Edyta handed me back my first assignment, she asked me if I wanted to skip the first few weeks of class. Sweet :)

-Welsh: Rocks. And in the last week, I've done four times as much work as anyone else on the online flashcards. Woot! (Stuff like that brings out the competetive streak in me)

-Middle Welsh: Still on orthography, so we're not to a point at which it's a highlight yet. I imagine it won't be long, though.

-Anthropology: I hate reading Saussure, but we're almost done with that segment of the class. The professor is amazing, though, and manages to make the material interesting and accessible in lecture (thank GOD because if I had to get everything out of that bloody book I'd shoot myself before the end of the semester).

-The Táin: Reading cool poetry.

-Vikings: Steve is awesome. I'm behind on the reading. Already.

All told? Stuff's good. But it's going to be a busy term.
