It's cold, damp and rainy out. 'Tis the season to drink chai, falalalala...
Got all my gift cards mailed out, the presents I'm going to physically give people bought (including pressies for the kitty girls!), and, as a bonus, I picked myself up a cute hoodie in purple with a rose pattern.
So it's "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows." My first thought was that this refers to All Hallow's Eve, more specifically the night Harry's parents were killed and baby Harry managed to defeat Voldemort by turning Voldemort's curse back onto him.
I surmise that: Harry is going to meet Voldemort for the final battle in Godric's Hollow, right in the house his parents were killed in. It won't be one of those big-ass final battles beloved of fanficcers either - it will be just the two of them, Harry and Voldemort.
I believe we're going to find out a lot more about both Harry's parents, as well as Peter Pettigrew. This is a longshot, but I wonder if it's Peter who will prove to be a blood descendant of Godric Gryffindor? Because JKR seems to be big on "it's not the bloodline, it's the character" and look at ol' Salazar's descendants. OTOH, we could also find out that Peter was that rare thing, a Muggle-born Death Eater. In any event, I'm sure we'll find out more treats about our ratty friend.
Ron and Hermione will smooch bigtime and everyone will say "WHAT TOOK YOU SO LONG??!!"
I really hope Harry doesn't die. However, if Neville dies I will shed big wet tears. Neville has to live, dammit. He ought to be Herbology Professor and head of Gryffindor and have ickle firstie girls writing "I <3 Professor Longbottom" in their notebooks.
I'd like to see Tonks and Remus get married and have a cute little boy named Sirius.
