So when I got home from the movies this evening (Casino Royale, and I liked it a lot, thanks :) the boy was watching some forensics shoe or other. Terribly interesting case wherein the fur of the murderer's pet cat helped to solve the case, and somewhat of a landmark becauswe it was the first time that animal hair had been used in a forensics case ( Read more... )

"Near trees and water" is the most common statement the so called "police psychics" will use actually. If you think about it there is almost no place where you won't be right with a statement like that. (Remember that garden hoses count as "water.")

And of course, in a real world situation, that psychic would then claim that they "solved" the case in order to pad out their credits.
