bike argh!!!!!!
So, I'm so very very close to having the project bike done. I spent a few hours today rewiring the rear signals to a) reduce the likelihood of having electrical badness happen directly under my ass while I ride and b) to make sense of the god awful rats nest the previous owner left me.
I got the upper fairing sorted out finally... it took about 2 hours of fitting and refitting, fitting and refitting before everything finally clicked into place.
All of the cooling system and fuel system is hooked up, checked and double checked, so the gas tank is finally screwed back into place with relative confidence that everything underneath it is hooked up properly.
However...
The fucking aftermarket rear tail plastic doesn't fit properly over my undertail plastics. The mounting posts for the key mechanism aren't in the right places. I spent a good 30 mins trying to figure out what was going on, then swapped in the original plastic to see if it had the same issues. Nope, all clicks in place pretty sweetly.
FUCK!
To do:
- Get original tail plastic and rear grab handles painted
- Mount tail plastic and grab handles
- Finish up wiring, test signals/brakes/headlights/horn, route/ziptie all wires properly
- Add oil, coolant, gas
- Charge battery
- Fire it up!
