Engaged?
Guess who got engaged!
Josh. And not to me. He left for California a week ago, and he came back on Tuesday. I felt that something wasn't quite right before he left, and I thought about breaking up because we weren't quite connecting the way we used to. But I didn't want to run away, and I really wanted to work things out.
Turns out, he met a guy online a year ago, which I knew about. I knew that he liked the guy, and I knew that Josh would be visiting him. What I DIDN'T know was that Josh walked 25 miles from his hotel room to see this guy, then proposed to him--while still going out with me! Josh has been keeping this a secret from me since he had left for California, and he just now told me.
I can't believe how he not only cheated on me, but to such an extreme! AND this is the first time he's ever actually met the guy! Not only that, but the guy is 21. Which I guess doesn't matter to Josh, as long as he's Asian. Josh told me that he liked the guy (his name is Oscar by the way) because that relationship didn't have an expiration date like ours did.
Excuse me?! WHAT expiration date?! We established at the beginning of our new relationship that college would be a really difficult time of transition for me, and that we'd have to work extra hard to keep ourselves together. Apparently, that meant that we would break up as soon as I got to college. Thanks for misinterpreting what I said.
I am SO frustrated right now. Yeah, I haven't been the best boyfriend--but I never cheated on him. I was always loyal, and I treated him as best as I knew how to. I don't think it's so much the fact that he broke up with me but the fact that he cheated and how immature he was.
I need fireworks, loud music, and fun times. I'm going downtown with Matt, Joel, and Rina tonight to watch them, so hopefully I can bring back lots of good pictures.
