Spamalot and Band Spec
ZOMG, Spamalot was AMAZING!!! If you ever get a chance to see it--DO! There are SO many references to it in pop culture that I never even realized, and omg, it is HILARIOUS!!! My favorite line:
Arthur: But...I thought you were a fairy!
Lady of the Lake: No, dear, that's Lancelot.
LOL!!! Lacelot was HOT, and there were Ni Knights and shrubbery and people who are not yet dead who now are dead and Laker Girls and zomg *DIES*
Band Spec is tonight, and I think I'm coming down with something. :( I've got a semi-major part (none of the parts are major because it's just four skits with a bunch of bands, dancers, and color guards, but I have about ten lines as opposed to the average of two) and it's Pinocchio. Unfortunately, my Pinocchio voice is very high...and raspy. Which is bad for your throat. Which wouldn't be an issue because I wouldn't have talked so much, but we ran the whole thing about 60 times. Speaking in a raspy falsetto 600 times isn't too good for your throat. Originally, I thought it was the Pinocchio voice that was making my throat hurt (and it probably contributed) but today my head's been stuffed and my nose has beed running. I really want a nap, but the show starts in two hours. D: Let's hope this is over for Final Acts.
